How to Discover the Miraculous Within YOU!

Adam is a young man who has gone through many challenging and severe happenings, and is still here today with an optimistic attitude and eagerness to proceed through life with a great deal of triumph and reward.  Currently a junior in college and a previous state champion in baseball, Adam is well on his way to taking the next step.

When he was four years old he had a non-cancerous brain-tumor, which after surgery and recovery, and many years of check-ups and cat-scans the ramifications finally passed. Surprising as it is, he has fewer headaches now than the average person does, which is much better than how it was before having numerous throbbing headaches prior to the surgery.

He has an immense love for sports, his favorite channel is ESPN- of course. His favorite sport to play has always been baseball. Ever since he was big enough to walk, he was playing catch with his dad and swinging the big orange plastic bat.  That fondness continued throughout his childhood and teens, into adulthood, and will probably live within him until he is playing ball in the nursery home.  The greatest thing that happened in baseball was, in 2000 he and the South High School Colts won the state baseball championship. He continued to play ball after high school and even was very accustomed to playing slow-pitch softball and enjoying just being out on the diamond and playing ball.  Then, out of nowhere, a shockingly horrible incident almost took his life again.  He was batting with the bases loaded and two outs.  He clobbered a ball to left field and was trying for an in-the-park homerun.  All the other base runners had crossed the plate and Adam was on his way home. And then.. BLANK.

Adam woke up in the hospital 6 days later; he got hit in the back of the head from a throw trying to beat him to home plate. He had such amplified brain swelling that the doctors had to save his life in a very high stress situation, because it was needed immediately. They removed both sides of his skull and he was induced into coma.  When he woke up he remembered everything before he left his house to go to the game, but he recalled nothing at all about playing in that game.  He had to re-teach his brain everything, from walking to putting a smile on his face.  He now has 13 plates in his head and 57 screws that will be there forever.

He amazingly recovered exceptionally and fully after a long recovery and much work. He is back to being exactly the way he was before the accident, except for the new hardware.  He fell off the horse, and now he’s back on. He looks forward to excelling at the journey ahead and has become a very strong and durable person for all that he has been through. His dream job is that one of these days he’s working for his favorite NFL team that he’s loved all his life- The Denver Broncos.

In the meantime, Adam Carmel has a story to tell that he hopes will inspire people with hope, inspiration and motivation!
